Installation Guide
The Bolo Stick installs in 5 minutes with basic tools. No contractors, no special equipment, no permanent door modifications.
4 Simple Steps
From package to protection in under 5 minutes.
Position the Floor Plate
Place the floor plate at the base of your door. The plate includes pre-drilled holes for precise alignment on any standard commercial or residential door.
Mark & Drill
Use the floor plate as a template to mark your drill points. Drill pilot holes using a standard drill bit (included in the kit guide).
Secure the Floor Plate
Fasten the floor plate to the floor using the provided security screws. The safety anchor provides additional hold strength in the floor material.
Test & Deploy
Insert the Bolo Stick pin into the floor plate socket. Confirm smooth insertion and removal. That's it — your door is now barricade-ready.
Tools You'll Need
- Power drill or screwdriver
- Appropriate drill bit (for your floor type)
- Pencil for marking
- Safety glasses (recommended)
Installation Tips
Concrete or Tile Floors
Use a masonry drill bit and concrete anchors (not included) for installation on concrete, tile, or stone floors. Pre-drill carefully to avoid cracking tile.
Wood Floors
The included wood screws work on most standard wood and laminate subflooring. Pre-drill pilot holes for the cleanest installation.
Outswing Doors
For outward-swinging doors, the floor plate is installed on the exterior side of the door. The Bolo Stick is the only barricade device compatible with both inswing and outswing configurations.
