After 33 years as a police officer, William J. Barna saw firsthand the need for simple, reliable security solutions that work when seconds matter. He founded Bolo Stick with one mission: make effective door security accessible to everyone — not just those with big budgets.
Our Mission
The Bolo Stick was born from real-world experience. After decades of law enforcement, Bill knew that when an emergency strikes, people need a solution that works instantly with zero training. Complex devices with multiple steps, mechanical parts, or electronic components fail under stress.
The result is a device built from solid steel with no mechanical parts to fail, that anyone can activate in one simple step. Our goal is to put a Bolo Stick on every door that needs protection — and at $69 per unit, that's achievable for the first time.
